The Department of Sociology will hosted a virtual lecture with Dr. Anthony Ryan Hatch, Associate Professor and Chair of the Science Program at Wesleyan University, titled, “The Data Will Not Save Us: Racial Spectacles and Afropessimism in the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
Dr. Hatch’s research draws on critical social theories in science and technology studies to examine health systems, medical technologies, and social inequalities.
