The Wake Forest Department of Sociology hosted Dr. Carla Shedd, Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at The Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY) as the next speaker in our series of talks and interviews with sociologists studying race and racism in law, medicine, family, education, and culture. Dr. Shedd shared with us from her project When Protection and Punishment Collide: America’s Juvenile Court System and the   Carceral Continuum.
