Rianka Roy is a qualitative sociologist studying how globalization and technology create new forms of work, new pathways of migration, and new strategies of activism. She has recently earned her doctoral degree at the University of Connecticut. In her doctoral dissertation, using an intersectional lens, she examined how Indian tech workers organize for better rights in India and in the US.
